blueberry yogurt smoothie

I have a crush. And its on… the blueberry. To my utter disappointment, this plump of goodness usually streams through the produce aisle for a split second. But as the produce industry lunges beyond our borders to meet consumer demands, I’m giddy as a fiddle about enjoying this berry component a tad bit earlier this season. Before, that is, its traces are left in the freezer section; which is simply an injustice to this tarting fruit, if you ask me.wp-image-1325548044

At the other end of the market, is blueberry’s partner in crime… yogurt. It’s thick, creamy, and couples deliciously with fruit and honey.

So one fine day, I pulled out my blender and scooped up some dairy-aisle goodness and went to work. What did I end up with? An all-natural, rich, and fulfilling smoothie. That took literally five minutes and a blender to complete.

Topped with unaltered heaves of blueberry, my girls and I had a cool down show-down to remember. So what in the world went in that blender to stir up my afternoon? Give it a try before the season flies by.
